About Us

"Greetings Castellans! What first started out as a frustration with discontinued and unavailable seasonal scents, rapidly grew into a new hyper-fixation of learning how to make candles and start a business. I've always been a fan of candles and wax melts, usually leaning toward cozy scents like sweet baked goods or masculine woodsy ones. And as a kid in the 90's, I was no stranger to the Nag Champa smell of a boutique in the local Mall. So the idea that I could take matters into my own hands, and craft the scents that I wanted to enjoy, was extremely exciting. I also have a passion for figuring out logistics problems that I was aware of from playing Factory and Simulation games, so the deeper I delved into this the more it just kept me excited and driven to keep working at it.

After several months of research, testing processes and scents, and talking the ears off my friends and family, I finally registered a business license and opened up our Etsy shop in July 2025. Now, we are here another few months later launching our very own Shopify webstore. The success I've felt selling to my friends, family, and coworkers has given me the joy and motivation to keep iterating on this hobby and to one day turn it into a successful business. 

I am incredibly grateful that my patient wife Cassie has been there every step of the way to support me and offer help and constructive criticism in my small business journey. I could not have done this without her! 

My vision for this company, is to bring a cozy and comfy atmosphere of familiar scents and quality products to your home that you can rely on. It is our goal to keep all scents available as long as possible so that people can feel comfortable finding their favorites and keep coming back for them. We also craft our products using natural soy coconut wax and safest possible fragrance oils with no added dyes or other additives.

Cozy Castle Candle Co. is owned and operated by Seth and Cassie of Bellingham, WA. They are introverted nerds who value love, kindness, and a really good cheeseburger. They are expecting their first child in February 2026.
